A man has been charged after a scaffolding incident at a hospital.
A section of Eastern Road, Brighton, had to be closed on Monday after a person scaled scaffolding outside the derelict Hanbury building at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
Officers attended the scene and placed a cordon around the nearby area following reports that items were being thrown from the scaffolding to the road below.
Peter Budd, 57, of no fixed address was arrested on Monday afternoon and charged with intentionally/recklessly causing a public nuisance, three counts of assaulting an emergency worker and using threatening/ abusive/ insulting language to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
At Brighton Magistrates' Court the following day, Budd was remanded into custody pending his next hearing on November 5.
