A coffee shop that has been serving people for nearly 20 years has closed its doors.
The Mad Hatter Café in Montpelier Road, Brighton, revealed the news that it is closing on social media.
The statement read: "After 18 wonderful years, Mad Hatter Café is closing its doors.
“It has been an incredible journey filled with unforgettable moments, amazing food and most importantly, incredible customers like you.”
A customer who visited the café recently said on TripAdvisor: “Found this place by chance as I was looking for a place for breakfast- all I can say it was excellent from the moment I walked.”

Work has already begun on the site of the old café with Yazz Bistro and Kitchen set to take its place.
The Mad Hatter Café statement said: “This chapter is ending, but the friendships and experiences we’ve shared will stay with us forever.
“Thank you for making Mad Hatter Café a part of your lives.
“Soon, a new, wonderful bistro café will open at this location, offering the same delicious breakfasts.”
A nearby resident who was a regular at The Mad Hatter said:” It's incredibly sad to see this café close after all these years.
“The staff were always so lovely and it's a source of many happy memories.”
