A charity shop has been forced to close after a car smashed into its window.
The grey Hyundai crashed into the front of the St Barnabas House shop in Durrington this afternoon causing its front door and window to shatter.
Part of the metal structure holding the shopfront up was also crumpled in the impact.
Pictures from the scene show the scale of the damage, which has forced the shop to close this afternoon, with yellow barriers held up by a walking frame to stop the public from going near the damage.
Sussex Police have been approached for comment.
