A shop owner was dismayed after a van careered into his store late last night. 

The van smashed into the glass shop front in East Grinstead's London Road, bringing a cable box from the street with it.

Da Tu Di Vang, who owns Hollywood Nails, said the vehicle hit his shop. 

Police were called to the scene and a cordon was put up around the van.

The vehicle has now been removed but the shop remains in a state with shattered glass, broken frames and smashed window displays.

Sussex Police have been contacted for further comment.
