Shoppers have been turned away from supermarkets this morning due to technical issues.
Asda has reported that some of its tills were affected by the problem, meaning some were forced to open late.
This includes the Asda at Brighton Marina among others.
One shopper who arrived there this morning said: “I went over there for about 7.30 this morning.
“One of the cleaners came over to say 'don’t waste your time', as the store was closed because the tills were down.

“I saw him turn away at least three others.”
A spokesman for Asda said: “Some of our stores opened later than planned this morning due to a technical issue affecting checkouts.
“This has now been resolved and we apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused.”
Tesco and Morrisons said they experienced no technical issues this morning and that their stores are open as normal.
Sainsbury’s, Lidl and Aldi have also been contacted for comment.
