The coastguard, RNLI and police were called to search for a missing person.
HM Coastguard responded to the incident in Aldwick, near Bognor, today, September 29.
Coastguard rescue teams from Hayling Island, Selsey and Littlehampton were sent to the area, as well as a coastguard helicopter, to look for a missing person.

RNLI lifeboats from Bembridge, Littlehampton and Selsey also assisted with the search.
The helicopter was seen circling over the water between Bognor and Selsey.
The search was stood down at 5pm. Nothing was found.
