Train enthusiasts are in for a treat at a toy museum.
Brighton Toy Museum in Trafalgar Street is holding a special train running day on October 12, with train models showcased by the museum’s founder Chris Littledale.
Visitors will get an up-close look at the locomotives in a day full of “nostalgia and exploration”.
A spokesman for the museum said: “Inspired by the launch of Britain’s newest steam locomotive, the Atlantic Beachy Head, this event is themed around the Age of the Atlantic.

“This carefully crafted locomotive, a recreation of the original that last steamed in 1958, has been a labour of love for over two decades.
“We’re proud to celebrate it by running our exquisite 0-gauge trains.”
From October 4 until 31, the museum is also hosting a Halloween trail.
Visitors will be on the look out for ghosts hidden in the exhibits while exploring the history of “one of the world’s greatest toy museums”.
Tickets can be bought on the museum’s website.
