A popular city centre market has been postponed this weekend due to weather conditions.
Chichester District Council has announced that the Cross Market, set to be held in North Street and East Street, will not come to the city this Sunday, September 29.
The council said it had to make the “difficult decision” due to “adverse weather conditions” forecast for Sunday.
The Met Office is currently predicting rain and strong wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour.
The event has been postponed until Sunday, October 6.

A spokesman for the council said: “Predicted high winds make gazebos unstable and so the market has been rescheduled to prevent any chance of them being a hazard.
“The safety of the public and our stallholders must always come first.
“We hope you understand, and we apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.”
The event will feature “an innovative and quality market that showcases the best from creatives” from the city.
There will also be entertainment running throughout the event including a stilt walker.
