After a week of wet and windy weather, we wanted to look back on some of last week's gorgeous sunsets.

Clear skies made for sunny evenings on the beaches in Sussex, including Worthing, where Nicola Cunningham captured a range of lovely snaps.

With the full moon and the September equinox, tides were unusually low and allowed Nicola to snap scenes of Worthing from far out on the beach.

The sun cast an orange glow over the town and lit the pier beautifully as seagulls and starlings prepared to roost under its deck.

The low tide also revealed long stretches of sand for brave paddlers to walk on.

Worthing beach is often much quieter than Brighton and Nicola's serene shots barely feature another person.

The observation wheel on Worthing seafront has been taken down after a three-month run.

The 44-metre attraction between Worthing Pier and the Lido, allowed users to see up to ten miles in all directions.

Though the wheel leaving feels like the end of summer, some clearer weather is forecast for this weekend.

Hopefully the last days of September will bring us some similarly beautiful sunsets.
