Several pets in Sussex are looking for their forever homes, including at the Sussex North & Brighton branch of the RSPCA.

Whether you want to adopt a dog, cat, rabbit or guinea pig, there is plenty of choice.

A few animals from the branch are listed below but more can be found on the centre's website.

To help the Sussex North & Brighton branch carry on their work you can donate to them at the website here.

Daisy

Age - 10 years old

Breed - Crossbreed/Unknown

Colour - Black and Tan

Daisy is described as a "friendly girl" once she gets to know people and is looking for a quiet home environment to move into.

She knows the sit command and her name and has a good recall but does stay on the lead on walks as she would chase wildlife.

The RSPCA adds: "Daisy is housetrained, loves playing with toys and makes a good lap dog (although she is probably a little big for this as she weighs 19kg)."

Daisy would benefit from having a garden to run around in as she is quite active.

The RSPCA continues: "She can be hit and miss with other dogs when out and about, some she likes, some she doesn’t! Her previous owners said there does not seem to be a pattern with this."

Ideally, she is looking for an experienced owner as well as a home without children or visiting children.

Skittles

Age - Six to 12 months old

Breed - Domestic Semi crossbreed

Colour - Black

If you want to adopt Skittles you can view their full profile here.

Skittles came into the care of the RSPCA after she was abandoned on a property along with a number of other cats.

On arrival, she was quite timid and shy but her personality has bloomed over time.

She is said to be a loving, soft-natured cat who loves to have some fuss and affection.

Skittles will need a secure garden she can access once she is ready, she knows how to use a cat flap.

Due to her initially shy nature, the RSPCA would prefer her to go to a calm home with adults only.

Hazel

Age - Two years old

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colour - Tortoiseshell

If you want to adopt Hazel you can view their full profile here.

Hazel came into the care of the RSPCA via an inspector having been part of a multi-cat household.

She is said to be a shy but sweet and gentle cat who likes a bit of a fuss once she gets to know someone.

The cattery environment has been particularly stressful for her, so it has taken time for her to settle.

Ideally, she would join a quiet and patient home where she can have the space to be herself.

Miles and Oakley came into the care of the RSPCA after being found abandoned.

They are said to be two "sweet boys" who get on very well so are looking for a new home together.

Neither of them is too keen on being picked up, as they tend to wiggle a lot when it happens.

The RSPCA adds: "They love their greens time and will make some squeaks when they hear the rustle of a kale packet!"
