An air ambulance has been called to an incident at a shopping centre where a man suffered life-threatening injuries.
Emergency services are reported to be on the scene of an incident in the County Mall Shopping Centre in Crawley this afternoon.
The air ambulance landed in nearby Southgate playing field while emergency services dealt with the incident this afternoon.
A spokesman for Sussex Police confirmed that they were called to a medical incident at the shopping centre where a man suffered life-threatening injuries.
The force said: "Police were called to a medical incident in County Mall, Northgate, Crawley around 1.45pm this afternoon.
"A man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
"An increased police presence can be expected in the area. The incident poses no threat to the public."
