A school is helping its pupils learn how to swim with its own pop-up pool.
Children at Southway Primary School in Bognor have been taking a dip in the 10m pool which was installed outside the school at the start of the year.
The school is using it to get children in Years 4 to 6 to start swimming lessons.
It comes after the local swimming pool was closed down three years ago, leaving pupils with nowhere to hone their skills.
Mike Wood, principal at Southway Primary School, said: “It has been great to have a buzz around the school as we return for the new academic year and it has been fantastic to see how enthusiastically our pupils have embraced their lessons.
“This is an exciting chance for pupils to learn such a vital skill and I am really pleased we have been able to make it happen.”
Pupils have been enjoying daily lessons with Active Me 360 swimming teachers and lifeguards as well as using the pool for after school clubs.
The pool will be kept at the school until Christmas.
