A horse has been safely rescued from a ditch after getting into trouble in a boggy field.
Bob the horse got into difficulty when he fell into the boggy ditch in a field but was safely winched out by fire crews.
Crews came to Bob’s rescue and helped him onto a rescue board before pulling him out of the hole safe and well.
Fire crews from West Sussex and Surrey Fire and Rescue Services were involved in Bob’s rescue alongside a vet who helped to make sure he was safe throughout the effort.
Bob was soon pictured safe and well and out of the ditch in Houghton near Arundel this afternoon.
The rescue took place just three years after Bob arrived in West Sussex having been flown over from Ireland.
