A motorhome has parked on grass in a seafront square for the third time in just over a month.
Residents of Regency Square had been up in arms after a motorhome parked in the middle of communal grassland, unpacking a table and chairs in front of their homes.
Now, another motorhome has parked in the same spot for the third time just weeks after the last campervan was moved on from the site.
A motorhome once again parked on the grass in Regency Square overlooking the Brighton seafront and remains of the West Pier this afternoon.
It comes less than a month since the last motorhome was evicted from the square.
Brighton and Hove City Council previously confirmed that the motorhome which returned on the August Bank Holiday weekend was the same van that camped on the site on August 10 for several nights.
The motorhome appears to be the same van that previously camped on the site - but The Argus has so far been unable to confirm this.
Councillor Trevor Muten, Brighton and Hove City Council cabinet member for transport, parking and public realm, said at the time: “This vehicle should not have been parked where it was and we are aware this is the second time this has happened in recent weeks.
“It must be incredibly frustrating for residents and those who want to enjoy Regency Square.
“Last time it was parked here we issued a notice asking the driver to leave, so they are aware this is not a suitable place to be parking their motorhome.
“While we will continue to issue enforcement notices as and when we are made aware of situations like this, we have also listened to residents and are exploring ways we can prevent vehicles from gaining access in future.”
Brighton and Hove City Council were approached for comment about the latest incident.
