A clothing brand has announced when its new city centre store will open.
Scamp and Dude is preparing to open its new shop in the former Oliver Bonas unit in North Street, Brighton, on October 12.
Bosses have promised the 148sqm store will be more than just a retail space and will be used for community events.
The brand’s signature “bolt room” will be within the new store and is a large private fitting room, which can be booked in advance and where a group can enjoy complimentary refreshments while trying on the latest styles.
The Brighton store launch will be marked by a weekend of activities starting on October 11.
Celebrations will continue on Saturday with the first 50 customers receiving an exclusive gift bag.
The store will be the brand’s seventh.
Scamp and Dude prioritises giving back to charity and runs its SuperScarfMission where for each scarf sold another is donated to a woman with cancer.
To date, Scamp and Dude has donated over 51,000 Super Scarves via 250 plus hospital partners.
Scamp and Dude founder and CEO Jo Tutchener Sharp said: “We are thrilled to be opening our next retail store in Brighton. It’s such a welcoming and vibrant city which perfectly aligns to Scamp and Dude and we can’t wait to welcome our loyal community to our new home.”
Oliver Bonas has moved four doors up North Street to fill the large unit left empty by Habitat last summer.
Both units are part of the Hanningtons Estate, where Oliver Bonas moved to in 2019 from its smaller Bond Street store.
The new shop more than doubled in size in the move earlier this month, the new space is 4,770 square feet, and offers a wider variety of fashion, homeware, and gifts.
Scamp and Dude is a B-Corp-certified company.
To achieve the certification, businesses must meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
