A fantasy-inspired bar has been told its food hygiene needs major improvement.
The Cauldron in Clarence Gardens, Brighton, received a rating of one after being inspected on August 10, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
The other latest ratings are:
Rated 5: Hove Tandoori in Church Road, Hove, rated on September 11
Rated 5: Hand In Hand in Upper St James’s Street, Brighton, rated on September 5
Rated 4: Coco’s Bistro, Market Street, Brighton, rated on August 10
Rated 4: Curio Cafe, Clyde Road, Brighton, rated on August 10
Rated 3: Il Bistro, Market Street, Brighton, rated on August 10.
What the ratings mean:
There are six different ratings that a venue can be awarded from 0 to 5.
5 - Hygiene standards are very good
4 – Hygiene standards are good
3 – Hygiene standards are generally satisfactory
2 – Some improvement is necessary
1 – Major improvement is necessary
0 – Urgent improvement is required
