A burglary led to the discovery of a cannabis farm.
The suspected burglar had fled the scene by the time police attended the address in Upper North Street, Brighton, at around 4am on Saturday.
Officers were faced with a cannabis farm with dozens of plants instead.

The plants were seized and an investigation launched.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “An investigation is under way and police remain at the property to carry out enquiries and destroy the plants.
“Witnesses or anyone with any information on the farm is asked to contact police online or call 101 quoting serial 164 of 15/09.”
