Several pets in Sussex are looking for their forever homes, including at the Sussex North & Brighton branch of the RSPCA.

Whether you want to adopt a dog, cat, rabbit or guinea pig, there is plenty of choice.

A few animals from the branch are listed below but more can be found on the centre's website.

To help the Sussex North & Brighton branch carry on their work you can donate to them at the website here.

Mickey

Gender - Male

Age - Six years old

Breed - Yorkshire Terrier

Colour - Silver and Tan

If you want to adopt Mickey you can view their full profile here.

Mickey is described as a "sensitive soul" who will need a female owner who is prepared to let him take things at his own pace.

He can be worried by strangers, especially men, and is also anxious around children.

Additionally, he is sound sensitive and can be worried by loud noises so a quiet home environment is a must.

Once Mickey gets to know you he is a "happy, bouncy boy" who loves fuss and attention and will sit on your lap or curl up next to you on the sofa.

He needs to be the only dog in the home and could not live with cats or small animals.

In terms of training, he knows how to sit and give a paw and is housetrained.

Mickey enjoys his walks and running around the garden so will need an active owner as a result.

Roger and Jessica

Gender - Male (Roger) and Female (Jessica)

Age - Six to 12 months old

Breed - Dachshund (Smooth coat) crossbreed

Colour - Black

If you want to adopt Roger and Jessica you can view their full profile here.

Roger and Jessica came into the care of the RSPCA after being removed from a multi-dog household by an Inspector.

They are now doing really well but are both still shy with new people and have had no life experiences outside so get overwhelmed quite easily.

The pair are looking for an experienced owner who will continue to help them gain confidence and take things at a slow pace.

Roger can be quite anxious and does not cope well on his own, so would need to find a home with Jessica together.

Sharona

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colour - Black

If you want to adopt Sharona you can view their full profile here.

When Sharona arrived at the RSPCA she had five small kittens with her, who have all gone to new homes.

Now she is looking for a place of her own, ideally with a garden to explore and chill out in.

She is described as a charismatic cat who loves human company and can be very vocal.

The RSPCA adds: "All in all she has a wonderful temperament, and will make a lovely addition to someone’s family."

Havana

HavanaHavana (Image: RSPCA) Gender - Male

Age - Six to 12 months old

Breed - Crossbreed

Colour - Brown

If you want to adopt Havana you can view their full profile here.

Havana recently came back into the care of the RSPCA after an unsuccessful match with another rabbit.

She is described as a "sweet girl" who loves her food and toys and is well-trained using her litter tray.

During her time in her last home, she built up a lot of confidence and was becoming more comfortable around her human carer.

She will need a neutered male to keep her company in her next home, in a spacious set-up with plenty of enrichment.
