An established jazz quintet and recent Mercury award winners are due to launch their new album in the city.
Ezra Collective will be launching their new album Dance, No One’s Watching at Chalk in Brighton on October 1.

The collective made history last year by becoming the first jazz winners of the Mercury Music Prize. They had stiff competition with Arctic Monkeys, Raye, Fred Again and Jessie Ware but still won the £25,000 prize.

Their album Where I’m Meant To Be which won them the award also entered the UK Charts at position 24. It also crossed over the pond and peaked on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz charts at position 15 in the US.
They recently won at the MOBO Awards for Best Jazz Act and have been gearing up for their album release with singles God Gave Me Feet for Dancing and Streets Is Calling.
Their Brighton show will gear the collective up before their tour which sees them head to Berlin, Oslo, Stockholm and Paris.
