A range of community groups are to share £30,000 from the Gatwick Foundation Fund.

Free Shop Crawley, which provides workshops, food and support as an alternative to food banks, is one of those to benefit from this year's second round of funding.

Befriended, in Burgess Hill, which works to end loneliness and isolation among older people in Mid Sussex, and Hope Into Action, which provides supported accommodation for homeless people will also receive money. 

Nigel Goodenough, executive director of Hope Into Action: Mid Sussex, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to receive funding from the London Gatwick Foundation Fund, which means we can continue to provide high quality supported accommodation to homeless adults and families across Crawley and Mid Sussex."

Park Centre in Burgess Hill which is transforming a historic building into a multi-use centre for the community and Mid-Sussex Older People's Council will set to benefit from the fund.

Each year there are three rounds of grants, totalling £100,000 given out across Crawley, Horsham, Mid Sussex and Wealden.
