Spectators put up with a grey day at the seafront to witness the Ace Cafe Reunion’s 30th anniversary today.
The three-day motorcycling event, which culminates in the Brighton Burn Up, celebrates the history, culture and style of Ace Cafe London and always proves popular.
Motorcyclists from across the UK converged on Madeira Drive to celebrate one of the biggest motorbike events.
Riders from different clubs came to mark this special anniversary event, with a bit of sunshine bringing even more people to the seafront to witness the spectacle.
Ace Cafe is the famous bikers’ cafe off London’s North Circular Road.

The café was built in the 1930s for hauliers but was later used as a gathering place for motorcyclists in the post-war rock ‘n’ roll culture.
It closed in 1969 but made a comeback in 1994 with its first reunion.
As well the reunion’s 30th anniversary, this year marked six decades since the famous seaside clashes in 1964 between the mods and rockers.
To celebrate, there were prizes for the Best Cafe Racer and Best Scooter.
Stands and displays lined Madeira Drive with DJs and live rock and roll music throughout the afternoon.
