A man has died after a fire at a flat in sheltered accommodation.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to Marlet House in Bannings Vale, Saltdean, at 9.03am yesterday, September 5.
A man in his 60s was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The fire was contained and no other properties were damaged.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "An investigation is under way to understand the full circumstances of the incident. At this time, there is nothing to suggest it was suspicious.
"Witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to contact police online or call 101 quoting serial 325 of 05/09."
Pictures show a police car on site at the sheltered accommodation which "promotes independent living for older people". The minimum age for residents is 60.
Southern Housing, which manages Martlet House, has been contacted for comment.
