The images of what is said to be hostages held by Hamas in the Israeli-Palestine conflict were projected on cliffs.
On Tuesday evening the Yellow Ribbon Campaign, an initiative that highlights the plight of hostages held by Hamas, projected the images onto cliffs near Brighton Marina.
This follows on from the giant yellow ribbon unfurled on Hove Lawns in July. The 50-metre-long ribbon was unveiled on Hove Lawns by relatives of hostages being held by Hamas in Gaza.
Adam Ma’anit said his cousin Tsachi Idan is among the hostages.
He said: “With negotiations moving so slowly and conditions worsening, it is urgent that the hostages are brought home immediately. Tsachi cannot wait another second. None of them can.”
There are reportedly over 100 hostages still in Gaza after Israeli Bedouin Farhan Al-Qadi was rescued and the body of a soldier was recovered this week.
Organiser Heidi Bachram said: “The British government needs to do more to advocate for the hostages and support their families. We need pressure on Qatar particularly as the UK has so much influence there. I don’t see enough of that happening.”
Campaigners have previously held vigils in the city for those killed in the October 7 attacks.
