A motorcyclist has died in a crash.
Sussex Police were called to a two-vehicle collision involving a motorbike and a car on the A27 Pevensey Bypass at 6.20am today.
The motorcyclist, a 54-year-old man from Hastings, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
The A27 remains closed in both directions while officers carry out investigations. Sussex Police have said it is likely to remain closed until mid-afternoon.

Severe delays backed up onto the A259 westbound between Pevensey and Bexhill following the incident.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Officers are trying to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
“They are specifically appealing to the driver of a light-coloured vehicle who was travelling east on the A27 Stone Cross at the time of the collision.
“Witnesses or anyone with any information or footage on the incident is asked to email collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk quoting Operation Mere.”
