A small number of motorway and A Road closures will affect Sussex traffic this weekend, according to National Highways England.

These will mainly be on the A27 in the early hours of the morning for maintenance work.

If you are set to be travelling along these areas, it's best to take note of different diversions that may be in place.

Here’s a list of all the closures from Friday, August 30 to Sunday, September 1 on Sussex's main roads to be aware of.

M23, A23 and A27 road closures for Friday, August 30

M23

No full road closures are scheduled for the M23 on this day but there will be a lane closure in both directions between Junction 8 and 9.

This will take place from 9pm on Friday to 7am on Saturday due to communication works.

A23

  • A23 southbound Pyecombe entry slip road closure - 9pm to 6am
  • A23 westbound North Terminal entry slip road closure - 8pm to 6am
  • A23 westbound North Terminal exit slip road closure - 8pm to 6am

A27

  • A27 westbound Warblington to Langstone carriageway closure - 9pm to 6am
  • A27 westbound Falmer entry slip road closure - 8pm to 6am
