A restaurant tucked away in The Lanes has reopened with a new menu.
Kindling in East Street, Brighton, closed earlier this year with plans to relaunch with a “new concept” called “Simply Steak”.
It worked its way into the 2022 Michelin Guide and was praised for its use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
The new menu is “short and to the point”, the Kindling team said.
“You can choose from great-value steaks, burgers, and beef sandwiches,” the team added.
“Expect high-quality British beef, pitch-perfect preparation, friendly staff and fantastic service.”
Kindling is now run by seasoned Brighton restaurateurs Ramin Mostowfi and Minky Lee and is all about serving great value steaks expertly cooked over charcoal.
With an open kitchen in the middle of the restaurant, the charcoal grill is the show's star, and head chef Ewan Cullen and his team are "the masters of fire".
All steaks are grass-fed and supplied by British and Irish farms. Kindling uses natural, additive-free charcoal to unlock the best flavours in the meat, infusing it with an "irresistible" smoky flavour.
The atmosphere is casual and laid-back.
Kindling is currently running a £15 bavette steak and chips or £14 burger and chips lunch offer.
