A town in Sussex has been named as one of the best coastal spots in the UK to retire to according to a new list.
Worthing was included in The Telegraph's list which featured four other coastal towns.
Discussing the creation of the list, the publication wrote: "When it comes to deciding where to live in retirement, it could be an attractive option to move to the coast.
"With the quieter, more relaxed lifestyle on offer, the change to a new environment with beautiful scenery could be right for you...
"If you are one of the people at or approaching retirement age who might be contemplating moving to the coast, one of your main questions may be what locations are best for you.
"Whether you would like to retire for good or buy a second home for regular weekend breaks, figuring out what places best fit your preferences is a big part of your decision-making journey."

What was said about Worthing?
Worthing was praised by The Telegraph for its "great coastal views" as well as its links to other significant Sussex locales.
They wrote: "Worthing offers great coastal views alongside unique independent shops. If you like to engage in culture, the Montague Gallery run by resident artists might be interesting to you too.
"Places in Sussex have previously appeared on lists for some of the best places to retire in the UK.
"There are great connections to Brighton, Chichester and nearby coastal towns such as Littlehampton, while the South Downs and Cissbury Ring give fantastic scenery, walking trails and country pubs."
The great cultural options Worthing offers are also recognised on its Visit South East England page with the Worthing Museum and Art Gallery highlighted.

Discussing Worthing, they added: "One of the biggest seaside towns on the South Coast, Worthing is a lively destination for shopping, eating, entertainment and family fun by the seaside!

Alongside their summary, The Telegraph listed the average price of a semi-detached house in Worthing as £426,952 whilst the average price for a flat was listed as £224,305.
