Commuters looking for a quick caffeine fix can enjoy a discounted cup of coffee at shops across the city.

With studies showing Brighton coffee lovers pay more than almost anywhere else in the country, the bus company has paired up with Redroaster to help passengers save their hard earned cash.

From Monday, passengers on Brighton and Hove Buses can get a 50p discount on any coffee at Redroaster's three cafes in the city just by showing their ticket.

Nick Hill, commercial director at Brighton and Hove Buses, said: “We’re committed to offering a value for money service for all of our passengers so we’re thrilled to partner with a great local brand like Redroaster to make their whole day cheaper and easier.

"And the more people that use our buses, the more we collectively protect our environment.”

Redroaster founder Diana Palmer said the partnership combines her business's "commitment to sustainability" by promoting environmentally friendly transport to their venues.

The deal can be redeemed at the Redroaster branches in St James's Street, Brighton Dome and Lucky Beach. City sightseeing and Metrobus tickets are also valid.

No end date for the offer has been announced.
