An award winning queer and alternative comedy club will return to the city for another year after popular demand.
Down the Hatch returns to Komedia on Gardner Street in Brighton this autumn, with their first show set to be on September 1.
Komedia prides itself as a platform for the ‘marginalized voices in the comedy scene’.
Down The Hatch will take place on Sunday 1 September, Sunday 6 October, and Sunday 3 November.
The show won the Best Comedy Format at the 2024 Chortle awards and describes itself as a queer and alternative comedy club.
The first show will see the resident MC Lee Part open for Josh Glanc, winner of the Critic’s Choice Award Perth Fringe 2023, Dane Buckley, an LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year Finalist 2022 and viral sensation Daniel Foxx as seen on BBC One, BBC Three, ITV and Comedy Central.
Some of the comedians on the lineup include, Lachlan Werner , Jess Fostekew and Joe Kent.

The comedy club’s charity partner is The Brighton Rainbow Fund Charity, a central hub for community fundraising for Brighton and Hove LGBTQIA+ and HIV support projects.
Donations will be collected through optional ticket donation at the online checkout as well as QR codes at the show.
