A man has been charged with murder after a teenager was found stabbed in a car park.
Officers were called to a report of an altercation between a man and a woman outside Crawley train station in Station Way shortly after 7.10am on Sunday.
The area was searched and a 19-year-old was found dead in a nearby car park “with stab injuries”.
She was confirmed dead at the scene, Sussex Police said.
Forensic officers remained in the town centre throughout Sunday with police guarding a bridge over the railway and a nearby walkway.

Due to the location of the incident, the investigation has since been taken over by British Transport Police.
Jason Pascal Flore, 26, of no fixed address, was charged with murder and has been remanded to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court today.
BTP senior investigating officer Sam Blackburn said: “Our specialist family liaison officers are providing support to the victim’s family and our thoughts remain with them at this time.
“We are urging anyone with any information or anyone who witnessed events leading up to the woman’s death to get in touch with us.”
The force has asked witnesses or “anyone with information that could help” to contact police online or via 101, quoting Operation Venn.
