A Sussex beach has been dubbed a tranquil gem by visitors.
Worthing beach, between Lancing and Goring, has had a number of reviews on Tripadvisor over recent years, with the majority of these being extremely complimentary.
At the moment, the stretch of coastline has an average rating of four out of five stars on Tripadvisor, the same as Brighton.

A recent visitor, who said they were at the beach just last month, wrote: "I love it here.
"It's always clean, toilets are decent. Great beach, especially when the tide is out.
"Lovely long pier with a restaurant on it, and at the end you can watch the guys sea fishing. It's one of my happy places."
Another visitor from London said the beach exceeded all expectations.

He wrote on Tripadvisor: "A tranquil gem near Brighton. Worthing beach is a serene coastal destination that surpassed all my expectations.
"This hidden gem offers a peaceful escape with pristine sands and a tranquil atmosphere. The absence of crowds and noise allowed me to fully immerse myself in the soothing sounds of the crashing waves and gentle seabreeze.
"The beach's immaculate cleanliness was truly remarkable.

"It was a pleasure to take leisurely strolls and bask in the sun while enjoying the breathtaking views of the English Channel."
Despite mainly positive reviews, for some people Worthing beach doesn't tick every box.
One visitor wrote: "Obviously it slightly differs in places but in general it is a steep sloping pebble beach which does have some sand when the tide is right out.
"Unfortunately then in places it becomes slippery with unsightly algae rather than natural seaweed.
"If you have a family looking for a beach to rest and play, and can travel further, then I suggest you do so."
The beach, which stretches for miles and has been named the fifth best thing to do in Worthing by the review website, has 138 reviews on Tripadvisor.
This includes 50 'excellent' reviews and 55 'very good' reviews.
