A by-election will take place for an MP's former council seat.
The election will take place for the position in Marine Ward in Worthing on Thursday, September 19.
The seat was previously held by former Worthing Borough Council leader Beccy Cooper but has been vacant since her election last month as the new MP for Worthing West.
Potential candidates have until August 22 to submit nomination papers.
The deadline to register to vote for this by-election is Tuesday, September 3, or Wednesday, September 4, to be able to vote by post.
Just like the recent general elections, voters will need to show photo ID to be able to vote in person at polling stations.
If you do not have a photo ID, you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate by Wednesday, September 11, instead.
