A man has been arrested after allegedly injuring a dog he was walking.
Sussex Police say they were called to Bristol Gardens in Brighton on Sunday, August 11 after reports of animal cruelty.
A 36-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.
A spokesman for the force said the incident took place at around 8.05pm and involved a man and a dog he was walking.

The dog has since been left with a family member.
The man, of no fixed address, has been bailed pending further enquiries with strict conditions not to be in control of a dog in public.
Anyone who saw what happened or captured it on video is asked to report it online or call 101, quoting crime reference 47240156134.
