A teenager has been charged with the rape of a woman on a beach.
The 17-year-old boy from Eastbourne, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has today been charged with the rape of a woman on Eastbourne beach.

The victim has been supported by specially trained officers following the attack, which happened close to the town’s bandstand in the early hours of August 9.
The defendant was remanded into custody to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court today.
Detectives continue to investigate the incident and have urged anyone with information to report it online or call 101, quoting Operation Bagstone.
