A popular beach has sold out of parking again on another scorching day.
West Wittering beach has advised beachgoers not to travel there “without a pre-booked ticket” as there is no more parking available.
It comes ahead of the second day of a mini-heatwave which could see temperatures reach up to 26C.
The beach is one of the most popular in Sussex, attracting thousands each year.
Anticipating more visitors, the estate recently changed its parking policy.
Effective from August 1, visitors have to book their parking space at least one day before their visit.
Pre-booking on the day of the visit will no longer be available.
The date of a booking may be altered free of charge, or cancelled completely for an admin fee of £1.
During a previous hot weather spell in July, a total of 42 children were reported missing from West Wittering in just one day.
Safety advice for keeping children safe has since been issued by the coastguard, such as agreeing a meeting point and writing contact details on a wristband.
