A brightly coloured bus emblazoned with Pop Art is turning heads in the North Laine.
Peter Blake’s Art Bus is currently parked outside Enter Gallery in Bond Street, Brighton, ahead of touring the city today.
Blake is a prominent figure in the Pop Art movement and designed album covers for the likes of The Beatles.
The double-decker bus, which acts as a mobile gallery, is a chance for people to see some of Blake’s work inside.
Since 2007, Enter Gallery has enjoyed a rich relationship with Blake and is one of the leading dealers of his printed editions.
Last month, the gallery displayed its most extensive exhibition of the artist’s work to date to coincide with his 92nd birthday.
The exhibition featured many of the works that earned him the moniker The Godfather of Pop Art.
Lawrence Alkin founder of Enter Gallery said: “The first time Peter came to Brighton, he came on his Art Bus – so it has fond memories for me. I’m thrilled to see its return to Brighton and to be able to give the people another chance to enjoy it.”
