A family owned care home celebrated its 30th anniversary with a garden party and a cake in the shape of a house.
Michael and Sue Newman, the owners of Bramble Cottage Retirement Home in Patcham, marked the milestone with a garden party for the residents.
Special guest Brighton and Hove Mayor Mohammed Asaduzzaman arrived in his chains of office and chatted with residents and staff.
He also gave a speech after which staff, friends and families enjoyed a barbecue followed by musical entertainment.
Bramble Cottage, which cares for elderly residents, plays a key part in the community.
As a family-run care home, the owners said they have always had a "hands-on approach" with an emphasis on a personalised care service in a homely and friendly environment.
