The UK Health Security Agency has warned that the health and social care sector could see “significant impacts” as a result of high temperatures.
The yellow health alert covers the south, east, west and midlands, although does not impact the north of the UK.
The alert indicates a danger to vulnerable people such as the elderly with existing health conditions and those who are likely to struggle to cope.
