The body of a man has been found in the sea off a Sussex beach.
Emergency services were called to Seaford beach to reports of a man's body in the water.
Sussex Police are yet to identify the man or the circumstances surrounding his death.
The coastguard, the RNLI and police were called to Seaford Beach at around 2pm on Wednesday.
The beach was packed with visitors at the time making the most of the hot weather when the rescue teams and a helicopter descended on the area to search for the man.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "Enquiries are ongoing, alongside partner agencies, to identify the man and establish the full circumstances of the situation.
"No further information is available at this time."
