Over a dozen businesses are closing early to avoid disruption and violence as anti-immigration protests are planned.
Shops, businesses and offices in Brighton and Hastings have been closing their doors early to make sure that staff can remain safe.
Other businesses have been boarding up their doors and windows after unsavoury scenes of looting and violence in major UK towns and cities.

In Brighton, some of the businesses closing early are:
- Ghost Walk in The Lanes - walk cancelled this evening
- Fortune Supermarket, Preston Street - closing at 5pm
- Lord Nelson pub, Trafalgar Street - closing at 5pm
- CeX, Western Road - closing at 5pm
- Costa Coffee, Western Road - closing at 4pm
- Pret a Manger, Western Road - closing at 5pm
- Prince Albert, Trafalgar Street - pub closed and gig cancelled
- The Gladstone Pub, Lewes Road - comedy gig cancelled
- Cafe Coho, Queen's Road - closing early
- Brighton Station Health Centre, Queen's Road - closing at 5pm
- Tesco Express, Jubilee Street - closing at 5pm
In Hastings, some businesses that are closing early are:
- Mama Geny - closing early this evening
- Mr Burp's Sweets, Queen's Avenue - closed today
- Station Plaza walk-in centre - closed at 5pm
Protesters are rumoured to be descending on Sussex streets this evening. Counter-protests are also planned.
