A leisure centre is to undergo major refurbishment.
Adur and Worthing Councils planning committee approved plans for internal work at Lancing Manor Leisure Centre on the A27 in Lancing.
The council want the entrance lobby and reception to have an extensive refurbishment to make them look less "gloomy".

This will involve demolishing and replacing the existing curtain walling, which leaks and had reached the end of its serviceable life, and putting new external walls up to create a larger entrance lobby more suitable for wheelchair and pram users.
A new flat roof will be installed over the reception area to improve the general aesthetic of the building.
A council spokesman said: "The leisure centre use would remain the same but the proposal would be to reconfigure and refurbish the main entrance and reception area to improve and enhance the facility for visitors."
The council plans were approved by the committee on Tuesday.
