A new gym that hopes to welcome amateurs into fitness is due to open in October.
Ben Watson and his wife Felicity are set to open their second gym and fitness studio, Totalfit Personal Training, in Burgess Hill.
Ben, 29, said: “Our aim is to create a supportive community where our clients can work towards their fitness goals together, rather than just being another member at a larger gym.
“This is something Burgess Hill has not seen yet.
“Gyms need to be more inclusive spaces to get fit and healthy. We don’t have any mirrors in our gym in Brighton because we are more about helping people feel better about themselves.”
The gym will open in Church Walk and will offer “top-notch equipment and amenities”, small group personal training and personalised nutrition services, with a membership cap of 90.
Ben and Felicity, from Patcham, have an existing gym in New England Street, Brighton, which opened in January 2020, where they say they have grown a “lovely community”.
There's currently a waiting list for membership of the new gym.
In the meantime, Ben and Felicity are keeping those interested up to date via a mailing list, where subscribers will receive updates on the gym’s progress.
