Thieves have stolen donations from a charity clothes bank.

Hastings Police said the Salvation Army clothing bank at Tesco in Church Wood Drive, St Leonards, was targeted this week.

The lock was forcibly removed and the donations inside were stolen, leaving the clothing bank empty.

Police said it comes after a spate of thefts in May that saw clothes banks in supermarket car parks throughout Hastings targeted.

They are now looking for further information on the latest incident, which is a serious setback for the charity.

A police spokesman said: "If you have any information or notice any unusual activity or behaviour around clothes banks, don't hesitate to contact us either online or call 101."
