Seven sexual predators and paedophiles are among the criminals jailed in July.
Justice was served to a man who posted sexually explicit photos of his teenage victims to their family's social media pages and a former piano teacher who assaulted two boys over half a century ago.
One of the paedophiles was jailed at Oxford Crown Court after trying to kill a child by pushing him off a Brighton cliff.
Here are the sexual predators who were jailed last month.
David Pacera
David Pacera was jailed for seven years after a woman he raped recorded the terrifying assault on her phone.
His victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, recorded audio of the attack where she can be heard saying “no” multiple times.
Pacera, 42, was found guilty of rape, attempted rape, digital penetration and sexual assault. At Hove Crown Court on July 5 he was jailed for seven years and given an indefinite restraining order.
Detective Constable Ellie Treagust praised the victim for helping to secure the conviction.
She said: “I would once again like to thank the victim for the incredible courage and determination she has shown to report this incident and support the investigation through to its conclusion.
“Without her resolve, aided by an audio recording made during the terrifying ordeal, we would not have been able to put a dangerous predator behind bars where he can cause no further harm to the public.”
Anthony Roberts
Roberts, now 83, was finally convicted of sexually assaulting two young boys while he worked as a piano teacher at a boarding school nearly 60 years ago.
He started abusing both boys at Boarzell School near Robertsbridge when they were under ten years old and continued to do so for a number of years.
One of Roberts’s victims came forward to Sussex Police in 2017 while a second victim came forward following a media appeal.
After an investigation lasting more than half a decade, Roberts was jailed for six years.
Anthony Everton
Paedophile Anthony Everton blackmailed a teenage girl into sending naked pictures of herself – and then posted them to her grandmother’s Facebook page.
Posing as a young boy, Everton, of St Leonards, told his teenage victims he would kill himself if they did not send him pictures and, once he had them, threatened to send them to their families if they did not follow his demands.
Everton was convicted by a jury of outraging public decency, sexual communication with a child, making indecent photographs of a child and distributing indecent photographs of children. He was jailed for six years with a five-year extension.
Lewis Peters
Lewis Peters tried to hide a memory card containing hundreds of indecent images of children when his home was raided by police.
Officers found the small memory card when he was arrested in Worthing on June 3. Nearly 400 photos, including nearly 300 of the most serious images, were found on the card and his phone.
Peters, 31, pleaded guilty to three counts of making an indecent photo of a child, four counts of breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention order and possession of extreme pornographic images.
He was jailed for four years.
Shaun Clarke
Shaun Clarke committed a catalogue of physical and sexual violence offences, seeking to control his victim’s actions and separate her from her friends.
After trying to force his way into the woman’s property, the 53-year was found to have raped and assaulted her over the course of several years. Some of the offences were witnessed by her young children.
Clarke, of Whiterock Place in Southwick, was convicted of five counts of rape, two counts of assault, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour and assaulting an emergency worker.
Anthony Stocks
Anthony Stocks sexually assaulted a young girl on multiple occasions before pushing a boy off Ovingdean cliffs in an attempt to kill him.
The 54-year-old attempted to murder the ten-year-old boy by hurling him off the 100ft clifftop but the boy survived.
After being found guilty of attempted murder as well as four counts of sexual assault of a child under 13, one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and one count of rape of a child.
He was handed a life sentence with a minimum term of 19-and-a-half years.
Nathan Ackerley
Ackerley, a dangerous sexual offender, cut a woman’s clothes to rape her while she slept.
The 28-year-old from Hastings took a woman to his home in School Road and attacked her in her sleep. She managed to escape after waking up during the rape.
She found that her clothes had been cut while she slept.
Ackerly was convicted of rape, sexual assault by touching, sexual assault by penetration and voyeurism. He was jailed for ten years.
