A spokesman for Littlehampton RNLI said: " Littlehampton RNLI volunteers on Thursday evening were called upon to assist a vessel with seven persons on board that was stranded one mile west of the harbour having suffered technical issues.
"We brought the vessel and its passengers safely home using our B-Class lifeboat Renee Sherman.
"Thank you for all your good wishes and support that helps our volunteers carry on saving lives at sea."
The RNLI is a charity that relies completely on public donations and the work of volunteers.
The charity recently celebrated its 200th anniversary.
