A new business park will be built on the A259.

Drayton Investments is set to open a new 33-unit site in Bognor Road, Oving, near Chichester.

The site will be used as a mixed commercial development with a range of businesses from various industries set to trade from the business park.

This is set to include companies involved in light industry, sport, recreation, storage, and office space.

Drayton Investments, which runs a number of similar sites in the area, said the proposed units will be modern and will provide high-quality employment space.

Across the site, there will be 139 parking spaces in total that will be shared by the various businesses.

This will include ten spaces for blue badge holders.

The site will have cycle stands across the park to encourage people to ride to work.

HNW Architects, speaking on behalf of Drayton Investments, said: "Drayton Investments Limited has been actively developing and investing in commercial property in Hampshire and West Sussex for over thirty years.

"Drayton Investments Limited’s aim is to provide economical and environmentally sustainable workspaces which are well designed, well equipped and well maintained.

"This approach engenders a positive attitude in end users who want to be part of a successful and thriving business community in an attractive location."

HNW Architects said the site, which is easily accessible by both road and public transport, will also create numerous jobs for people in the area.

A spokesman for the architects said: "The aim is to offer a development that is both attractive and highly functional, it can operate efficiently, not interfering with the uses in the adjacent vicinity and that it contributes with a high-quality employment scheme.

"Depending on the end users, the development has the ability to create numerous jobs.

"It does not have an adverse effect on neighbouring properties by virtue of outlook or loss of privacy or general noise and disturbance.

"It will use materials that are of a very high quality and appropriate in terms of scale, colour and texture."

The plans were approved by Chichester District Council on July 31.
