A consultation on whether dogs should be allowed on two beaches is set to open.
Hastings Borough Council is asking for people's views on dog controls on the Stade beach and Rock-a-Nore beach in the town.
Currently, no dogs are allowed on the beaches between April 1 and September 30.
The consultation will offer three options - keeping restrictions the same, removing the exclusion on just Stade beach or removing restrictions entirely on both beaches.
No other beaches, parks or open spaces will undergo changes to their dog controls.
The consultations opens on the council website today and will close on September 1.
Councillor Glenn Haffenden, lead councillor for housing and community wellbeing, said: “We know that some people were unhappy with the dog controls that were introduced by the previous council administration earlier this year.
“We are now giving everyone the chance to have their say so we can look at these again.
“Please complete the survey whether you have a dog or not as we want to hear from as many people that use the beach as possible and we will have a look at the responses to see whether changes are needed.”
