Two men were stabbed in a housing estate scrap sparking a major police response.
Police officers in white suits worked throughout the night to collect evidence after two wounded men were taken to hospital.
Pictures from the scene in Burgess Hill show detectives using camera equipment and carrying swabs into a home in Valebridge Drive.
Officers were first called at around 8pm on Wednesday, July 31, to reports of a disturbance at a house in the street.

When they arrived, they found two men, known to each other, with stab wounds after a fight in the property.
One man remains in hospital while the other, aged 29, from Burgess Hill, was discharged and arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances, however there is no indication of any third-party involvement at this time.
"The public can expect to see a heightened police presence in the area in the meantime."
