Buses in a residential part of the city will be diverted as a programme of works continues.
Brighton and Hove City Council has been completely resurfacing a number of roads in Bevendean, including parts of Bear Road, Upper Bevendean Avenue, Lower Bevendean Avenue and Heath Hill Avenue.
This week, there will be some disruption to bus routes in Bevendean while the works progress.
Upper Bevendean Avenue
Upper Bevendean Avenue is closed on Monday, July 29, and Tuesday, July 30, for 24 hours a day.
Temporary traffic lights will be installed to help control traffic via Lower Bevendean Avenue and the 48 bus will be on diversion.
Lower Bevendean Avenue
Lower Bevendean Avenue will be closed on Wednesday, July 31, and Thursday, August 1.
Temporary traffic lights will be installed to help control traffic via Upper Bevendean Avenue and 48 buses will be diverted.
Heath Hill Avenue
Heath Hill Avenue will be resurfaced between Auckland Drive and Upper / Lower Bevendean Avenue between Friday, August 2, and Friday, August 9.
Temporary traffic lights will be installed and the speed limit will be reduced to 10 mph. Brighton and Hove buses told 48 passengers to allow extra time for their journeys during this time.
