A post office has opened after residents were left without services for more than a year.
Post Office services in Hampden Park, Eastbourne, were halted in June 2023 after the operator of the Rosebury Avenue site resigned, leaving the branch closed.
Now, the office has opened under a new operator and in a new location, with bosses saying they are delighted to be back in the area.
The post office in Hampden Park will now be run out of the Paperlane shop in Brassey Avenue.
The convenience store also sells cards, stationery and confectionery.
Emily Clive, network provision lead for the Post Office, said: “We are delighted to have restored Post Office services to Hampden Park as we know how important a post office is to the community.
“I know that the local community will join me in welcoming this good news and hope that our customers will continue to use this service.”
The new post office, which opened on Friday, is open from 7am to 10pm every day.
